- I have been using PAR and TBC IV for awhile now and find it to be
- outstanding. I can access the animations on the hard disk directly
- from other software using AREXX. I can also save to these animations
- directly from any software (eg raytracers).
-
- The only weakness is that PAR needs its own dedicated Hard drive, that
- can only be used by the PAR to stor animations or single images. My
- understanding is however to get the most out of VLAB you need a very
- fast harddrive, which might mean buying another one anyways.
-
- The only other weakness, is that when you are compiling an animation
- to the PAR drive, you are unable to access frames from other
- animations. this usually means for me that I have to either a)export
- the images I want to my zip drive, or b) save my output to the zip
- drive and then later to the PAR drive.
-
- On the whole though, I find the PAR does what it was meant to very
- well.
-
- Installation of both PAR and TBC IV was very simple. Plug it in, hook
- it up and load the freely upgradeable software onto your HD.
